The long anticipated renovations of Coles Daylesford are underway.
Construction workers have fenced off the centre aisle of the Coles carpark reducing the overall parking available by about 25%. Vehicle parking in the usually crowded carpark will be forced out into Bridport Street, Albert Street and Vincent Street. Shoppers reported that midweek parking was difficult. The situation may become chaotic when the usual Friday afternoon rush of weekend visitors descends on the supermarket.
The planned renovation includes expansion into to two adjacent shops and relocation of the Liquorland store.
As work has only just begun, Coles is unable to firmly indicate completion dates. However, a spokesman for Coles has said that the store will remain open throughout the renovation, and that they are working hard to keep as many car parks open for our customers during the works.
“We are excited that work is now underway to renovate our Coles Daylesford store,” said a Coles spokesperson. “The renovation will be staged over the coming months, to ensure we can keep our doors open to continue serving the community.
