Local businesses are invited to attend a Circular Economy Workshop being held on Monday 7 November at Victoria Park Pavilion from 5-7pm. This workshop is part of the Connecting the Circular Economy in the Hepburn Shire project, which has been driving local interest and participation in this approach.
The Circular Economy is a great tool for building more resilient businesses and getting climate smart. This approach finds ways to reduce, reuse, repair, repurpose and recover critical resources, helping businesses save money, avoid waste and curb greenhouse gas emissions.
Waste contributes 8,000 tonnes of Greenhouse Gas Emissions each year in the Hepburn Shire. And while tackling these emissions may be tricky, they’re essential for achieving our community target of zero-net emissions by 2030. Fortunately, the Circular Economy can help us build new sustainable business approaches that will play an important role in cutting waste and helping us transition.
To support local businesses who want to improve their sustainability and climate impact, the Connecting the Circular Economy in the Hepburn Shire project is hosting a two-hour workshop at the Victoria Park Pavilion on Monday 7 November.
Facilitated by Circular Economy expert, Damien Molette, this workshop will cover lots of useful concepts and tools like Circular Business Nodes, Reverse Logistics, Shared Service Innovation and Circular Value Creation. Businesses will benefit from a tailored and contextual approach, focusing on the needs and challenges faced by Hepburn Shire businesses seeking to boost their sustainability and efficiency.
