The much-anticipated Daylesford Rotary Art Show returns to Stanbridge Hall, 54 Central Springs Road, Daylesford from Thursday, October 30 to Tuesday, November 4.
This event has long been regarded as Daylesford’s finest celebration of visual arts. Hundreds of works from local professional artists to emerging secondary students will be on display, offering something for everyone.
Last year, the exhibition was stretched over two venues but this year the show will be accommodated entirely within the recently renovated Stanbridge Hall. Over 50 large paintings and many more small paintings will grace the exhibit.
Book tickets now for the gala opening night on Thursday 30 October from 6 pm – 8.30 pm. With drinks and nibbles and first pick at purchasing artwork, it’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in our vibrant local creative scene.
Internationally recognised artist and academic, Neil Fettling, will judge the show and announce winners at the gala opening on Thursday evening, October 30. In his distinguished career which spans solo and group exhibitions across Europe, the USA, Asia, and Australia, he has explored themes of landscape, ecology and cultural heritage.
The Daylesford Rotary Art Show is more than an exhibition. It is an important fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Daylesford, supporting youth programs, community development and environmental projects locally. Every artwork sold contributes to these vital initiatives.
Last year, with two venues, the Art Show raised just over $19,000, assisting Daylesford Rotary to contribute more than $38,000 over the past fifteen months to Community needs, mainly in our region, as well as some overseas projects. This year, the Art Show will be concentrated at Stanbridge Hall.”
Be part of Daylesford’s social event of the year: a long weekend of art and culture. Whether you’re browsing for inspiration, collecting a masterpiece or simply enjoying an evening with good company, this is an event not to be missed.
