Applications for the 2022 Hepburn Shire Biodiversity Grants are open between Monday 9 May and Tuesday 15 June 2022.
Grants up to $5000 are offered as part of the Hepburn Shire Biodiversity Strategy 2018-2021. The Strategy outlines the commitment of the Council to protect, enhance and restore biodiversity across the Shire.
Biodivesity in the Shire is under significant trhrea because of the legacy of mining and forest clearing, introduction of invasive plants and animals and ongoing changed land use.The aim of the Strategy is to protect and enhance biodiversity, to increase capacity to protect and enhance biodiversity and to support community action and awareness.
The grants are offered to support community action to protect and enhance biodiversity.
Applications close on Tuesday 15 June. Guidelines and application forms are available on the Council website.
