After a wetter than normal six months, July has been drier than normal with only 71mm of rain compared to the long-term average of 103mm for the month. The Bureau is forecasting August to October rainfall to be average or above for Central Victoria.

The Wombat Tree project is an ambitious plan by the Daylesford Men’s Shed to liven up the shopping precinct over the festive season. The plan is to have approximately 1000 hand painted wombats displayed on 23 “wombat trees” which will decorate the shopping precinct of Daylesford.
