State and federal flood recovery funding will assist local committees of management to restore public areas damage by the 2022 floods. $246,000 has been allocated to repair and restore internal and external damage to the historical Daylesford Museum Reserve and $5,300 has been provided to repair and reinstate the surface at the Daylesford Trotting Track.

David Penman has appeared in Ballarat Magistrates’ Court after sending allegedly threatening messages to a Shire Councillor according to an article in The Age published August 12. Mr Penman has made a number of statements on social media and in widely distributed emails that allege corruption by Councillors and Council staff. The Local Government Inspectorate has recently investigated these matters independently and ruled that they are unsubstantiated and misconceived.
