The Dementia Carers Support Group which meets regularly in Daylesford has been an important and valuable resource for people who are caring for people with dementia. The group meets monthly to share information and strategies and to support one another. Next week is Dementia Action Week with an emphasis on making communities more dementia-friendly.

Central Highlands Water has been awarded $60,000 in project funding through the Victorian Government’s Waste to Energy Bioenergy Fund. As part of the funding, CHW will explore the benefits of the localised production of bioenergy using forestry wood residue left onsite after a pine plantation is clear felled.
