Are you a cultured fermenter? Illustrator Brenna Quinlan is. With the help of a Hepburn Shire grant she has produced a set of fermentation recipe posters.

Another of Ms Quinlan’s series of fermentation recipes – this week’s addition is ‘Sourdough’ –  bread made with a starter, rather than commercial yeast. That makes two so far, six to come.

Ms Quinlan says, “I’ve always loved Culture Club, Daylesford’s monthly free ferments workshop run by Hepburn Relocalisation Network, and I wanted to translate some of my learnings from that group into a form that could be shared online.

I know that lockdown has been so hard on people, so my hope is that these posters offer an opportunity for people to learn new skills, try new things, and share the results with friends and family.”

Not a bad start for the run up to the festive season either.
