Words in Winter, a local literary and arts festival, has become a regular August feature on the Daylesford calendar. This year it runs from August 23 to 25 with the theme of “Connection of the Heart”.
With author talks, poetry readings, workshops and music there are plenty of events on the calendar to choose from and please a large audience.
One of those events is a travel writing panel style event with three outstanding Australian travel writers, each with their own unique trajectory to share. “An Open Heart, An Open Mind and an Open-ended Ticket” features published writers/authors Julietta Henderson, Lindy Alexander and Nadia Bailey.
The panel will be hosted and managed by Adam Ford, a Daylesford-based travel editor, writer, and TV presenter. Adam has had an extensive career in travel, commencing as a traveller and then being bitten by the travel bug to help others realise their travel dreams. If you fancy yourself as a travel writer this is the event you need to get along to. As well as being able to listen to these experienced travel writers’ tips, tricks and words of wisdom, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions of the panel.
Would you like to know more about this event? This week Robyn Rogers from HEP FM 88.0 sat down with Adam for a video chat on what to expect from the event.
