Thanks to Central Highlands Water (CHW), cyclists, bushwalkers, anglers and day trippers will now have accessible toilet facilities available at Bullarto Reservoir. The area is a popular destination for locals and also attracts some out-of-towners.

The Reservoir is located three kilometres northeast of Bullarto in the Wombat State Forest. It is one of three reservoirs that provide water for the Daylesford-Hepburn township.

This project was delivered through a partnership between Central Highlands Water and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).

Jeff Haydon, Managing Director of CHW, is proud of the work that they do to for the health and benefit of the community. “Bullarto Reservoir is a beautiful area to visit for fishing, hiking, cycling and other recreational activities,” he said. “These new accessible toilet facilities will further improve the amenity for the various recreational users visiting the reservoir and will serve the community for many years to come.”

Daylesford residents and visitors will welcome the facilities but still look forward to long-promised facilities closer to the town centre.
