Hepburn Seniors, anticipating a chance to cement a place in the four, started strongly against Gordon last weekend and had 3 goals on the board before Gordon troubled the scorers. But the heavens opened, the rain poured down and injuries piled up. In the end, Gordon was able to win comfortably 17.12-114 to 10.7-67. Dan O’Halloran kicked four goals for the Burras while Adam Toohey kicked eight for the Eagles.

The Reserves game featured the first game that Steve Carman played with his eldest son, Kyan. In the closest possible finish, Kyan kicked a point with seconds to play to bring the Burras home 7.6-48 to 6.11-47. Dan Bell kicked three goals for the Burras.

Hepburn Under 15s had a hard fought win 9.3-57 to 7.5-47 but the Under18s and the Baby Burras Under 12s were outgunned by Gordon.

Daylesford Seniors also had a tough day with Bungaree conceding a miserly 2.6-18 to their 7.11-53. Luke and Ben Jones were the only goal scorers for the Bulldogs. In Reserves action, Bungaree held Daylesford scoreless throughout, finishing with a relatively inaccurate 11.23-89.

Daylesford Under 15s had a good win over Bungaree 11.11-117 to 2.5-17 but the under 18s and the Under 12s went down.

In netball, Hepburn had mixed results against Gordon.  Conditions were wet, wet wet. Both under 13 teams worked hard but were only able to register a single goal in losses to Gordon. Under 15s and Under 17s both had good wins with the 15s winning 33-23 and the 17s winning 35 to 5. The Senior Bs went down 59 to 1 and the Senior As lost 43-20.

This weekend, Daylesford is at home to Carngham Linton. Another cold, wet day is predicted so Hepburn will welcome their bye.
