It would appear that the Endeavour Group’s desire for a Dan Murphy’s outlet has come to an end and new proposal has emerged for the site in Bridport St.
The Endeavour Group mounted a long and unsuccessful campaign to establish a large Dan Murphy packaged liquor store on the corner of Bridport Street and Central Springs Road.
Following a sustained community campaign, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal upheld Liquor Control Victoria’s decision to refuse Endeavour’s package liquor license for the site, leaving an action in the supreme court as the only avenue of appeal, which has apparently not pursued.
A new plan for the site has now been lodged with the property owner lodging an S72 Amendment Application – PLN 25/0275 for the site listed as 63 Central Springs Rd Daylesford.
Although the application is yet to be published on the Hepburn Shire planning site, the application indicates plans for a (large) gym and 3 shops.
