A faith community is being developed at Yandoit Uniting Church in addition to, but separate from, Yandoit Cultural.
Several gatherings have been held over the past few months to explore the kind of faith community we feel inspired to create. Some directions include multi-faith, keeping the spirit alive, recognising the seasons, reconciling with our first nations people, and incorporating rituals meaningful to our community and to the times we are living in.
Our first gathering, next Wednesday April 24th at 5pm, will include song, story, silence and reflection around the theme of Autumn, and will be followed by soup and a cuppa. This is a beginning and we welcome all who are interested, or who feel inspired, to explore faith and spirit in our lives. Feel free to bring something that, for you, relates to Autumn.
We are supported in this exploration by Rev Sarah Tomilson, Uniting Church Minister, as well as the Sipwell Faith Community in Castlemaine.
