It was a great day for Daylesford Football Netball Club last weekend. All junior and senior teams had great wins! Anyone remember when this happened last?
For the Burras seniors spent the day in an arm wrestle with a committed Demon Team. Bungaree took a one point lead midway through the last quarter and only an outstanding goal from Brad McKay got us back in the game.
The Hepburn 18s were without key players but fought hard in cold windy conditions. Goalkickers were Bohdi Robinson, Oscar McLucas and Nathaniel Lowe. Best players were Xavier Penny, Nash Robinson and Finn Guerts.
The 15s had a 22 point win to get them back into the Top Eight. Oscar Stone, Mitch Yanner and Bohdi Robinson all kicked two and Oscar McLucas got one. Best players were Dylan Gledhill, Bohdi Robinson, Oscar Stone, Olin Stevens, Edan Clark and Riley Pender.
It was a big weekend for the Burra junior footballers and netballers with the Lightning Premiership on Sunday at Creswick. Tyler Keating was our only goal kicker against Bungaree. Tyler was also in the best alongside Hugo Le Fevre, Archer McDonald, Maddison Pedretti, Chad Torrance and Angela Nolan.
In The Lightning Premiership the footballers made the semi-final and the netball team had an early win and just lost their last game in extra time.
