As part of the Hepburn Together project, Council is seeking input to a survey about Health and Wellbeing in the Shire.

The Council Plan will include a Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021-2025 and Council has developed a separate survey in order to capture precise and comprehensive data for the Health and Wellbeing Plan.

Council acknowledges the impact health and wellbeing factors can have on people’s quality of life. The on-line Survey is designed to gather information from individuals and organisations that will inform the MPHWP for the next four years.

Council will work with the community, health, and community organisations including the Department of Health and Human Services to undertake a review of current health and wellbeing across the Hepburn Shire. This analysis will be used to set goals and identify areas for improvement across the four-year plan. Council will also consider the priorities set out in the Victorian Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2019-2023 including family violence prevention and response, tackling climate change and its impact on health, increasing healthy eating, increasing active living, and reducing tobacco related harm.

Hepburn Shire Council is working in partnership with Central Highlands Rural Health to undertake health and wellbeing planning for Hepburn Shire communities. The Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021-2025 (MPHWP) will dovetail with an Integrated Health Promotion Plan (IHP) developed by CHRH.

The closing date for the survey is 7 April 2021.
