Hepburn Shire Council is encouraging individuals, clubs, associations and community groups to contribute to the development of the Community Vision and Council Plan.

About 20 people attended an information session specifically for community groups at the Daylesford Town Hall on Tuesday morning. Council officers led the group through a discussion of the key aspects of the Survey.

Another information for community groups will be held at the Creswick Town Hall on Tuesday, March 16 from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Contact hepburntogether@hepburn.vic.gov.au or call 03 5348 2306 to register for the session.

Development of the 10-Year Community Vision and 4-Year Council Plan will be based in part on the survey results. The documents will be important tools for establishing goals, aspirations and priorities for the Shire.

Mayor, Cr Lesley Hewitt, said while it is a legislative requirement that Council develop these strategic documents, it wants these documents to be community driven.

“We are consulting widely with the community on the development of these documents. We’re listening to feedback so that these documents reflect our community’s aspirations,” said Cr Hewitt.

The survey closes 19 March 2021.
