Local Baker, Mara Ripani, Launches Her First Book, “The Baker’s Percentage,”at Paradise Bookshop

This event marks the second in our newly launched community book launch series, celebrating local voices and the stories they share.

There is something special about breaking bread together.

We are absolutely thrilled to host local food artisan, Mara Ripani, for the launch of her very first book, “The Baker’s Percentage.” Join us at Paradise Bookshop for a cozy evening of conversation, community, and all things sourdough.

Mara, founder of the Village Dreaming cooking school at ORTO, will be in conversation with our own Devon Taylor to chat about the 15-year journey from kitchen table to published author, the science behind the perfect loaf, and the joy of building community through food.

The best part? It’s a true taste of local hospitality. Bring a small jar, and Mara will give you a piece of her very own leaven starter to take home. We’ll also have complimentary drinks and slices of Mara’s homemade bread served with cheese.
