Radical Fields – Community BBQ and Welcome Artists In Residence Allison Wiese, San Diego USA

Radical Fields warmly invites the community to welcome visiting US artist Allison Wiese to Glenlyon.

From hay bales to banners, sound to sculpture — Allison is an interdisciplinary artist working across sculpture, sound and performance in public and regional contexts. Her residency marks the beginning of a long-term project that will culminate in a new work for the Radical Fields Harvest Festival next year. During this introductory visit, she will be spending time listening, meeting locals and getting to know the rhythms of place.

Radical Fields is a Glenlyon-based not-for-profit arts organisation working across Djaara Country with artists, community and rural producers to create socially engaged projects that support the cultural and social wellbeing of people and place.

Join us for a relaxed community BBQ to meet Allison, hear about her practice and share stories of Glenlyon.
