Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre has announced that the Good Grub Club will soon be moving into the DNC as their new permanent home. This exciting partnership represents a shared commitment to food security, community connection and the spirit of care that underpins our region.
To prepare for their arrival, works will soon begin on upgrading our kitchen facilities. These improvements will create a modern, functional and welcoming space that will allow the Good Grub Club to continue – and expand – their warm, community-focused approach to sharing good food and meaningful connection. With renovations underway in the coming months, the Good Grub Club is expected to be fully settled into their new home from early 2026.
“This is a wonderful step forward for both organisations,” said Gina Lyons, Chair of the Committee of Management for the Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre. “The Good Grub Club brings people together in a way that strengthens community bonds, and we’re delighted to offer a stable, well-equipped base where that sense of connection can continue to grow.”
The move strengthens a long-standing relationship between the two groups and reflects a shared vision: fostering a community where everyone is welcomed, supported and able to come together over a wholesome meal.
“We look forward to keeping the community updated as works progress and to celebrating with you all when the upgraded kitchen opens its doors and the Good Grub Club officially settles in,” said Gina.
DNC Joke of the Week
Reaching the end of a job interview, the Human Resources Officer asks a young engineer fresh out of university “And what starting salary are you looking for?” The engineer replies, “In the region of $125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package.”
The interviewer inquires, “Well, what would you say to a package of five weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a company car leased every two years, say, a red Corvette?” The engineer sits up straight and says, “Wow! Are you kidding?”
The interviewer replies, “Yeah, but you started it.”
