Whack a Weed on Cornish Hill

Dear Friends of Cornish Hill, old and new.

On December 3rd we will meet at the top picnic table on Smith’s Creek, just below the the southern end of Stanhope St, at 10 am for a working bee to resume the good work of weed whacking.

We will focus on gorse and broom, just for two hours or whatever time you have. All equipment provided. Together we can make a big difference to the biodiversity on Cornish Hill and along Smith’s Creek.

At noon we will gather back at the picnic table for a snack and a cool drink or a cuppa. Everyone is welcome, whether you have wacked weeds before or not.

Sturdy shoes or boots, long pants, long sleeves and gloves are recommended.
