Daylesford’s recent run of frosty mornings has transformed paddocks and pathways into glittering white landscapes, as seen in this photograph by Victor Szwed. The frosts have been driven by a series of unusually strong high-pressure systems across south-eastern Australia, bringing calm winds, clear skies and ideal conditions for overnight temperatures to plunge below zero. While the mornings have been bitterly cold, the same weather pattern has also delivered the crisp, sunny winter days that locals and visitors have enjoyed in recent weeks.
