Hepburn Burras Seniors got their season off to a thumping start with a 31.20-206 win over Ballan (1.3-9) at Laurie Sullivan Oval on Saturday. In his first game with the Burras, playing coach, Mitch Banner, was Best on Ground with 10 goals. Cooper Bath kicked five and Jackson Hogan and Brayden Yanner kicked three each. The reserves and junior sides were undefeated on the day. Under 12s won 3.2-20 to 1.7-13. Under 15s tied 6.4-40 each. Under 18s won 17.17-119 to 1.2-8 and the Reserves won 21.20-146 to 1.2-8.

The netball sides also had great success. Under 13Bs won 5 to 2 but the Under 13As lost 4 goals to 13. Uner 15s (41 – 13) and Under 17s (55 – 7) both won comfortably. The Senior Bs lost to Ballan 33 -11 and the Seinor A side drew with 30 goals each.
Across town at Victoria Park wins were harder to come by. Daylesford Seniors went down to top side, Gordon, 5.4-34 to 24.21-165. Adam Toohey, Jordan Clampit and Connor Ascough all kicked four goals for Gordon. Scott Hughes kicked two for the Bulldogs. The Reserves lost to Gordon 4.1-25 to 10.18-78. Ash McKenzie kicked two goals for Daylesford. Gordon Under 18s were too good winning easily 23.15-153 to 3.0-18. Daylesford Under 15s had the only win of the footy sides. Gordon Under 12s won 2.5-17 to 0.2-2. Daylesford U13Bs recorded the only netball win on the day.
