Organisers of the New Year’s Eve Parade got creative last year in the face of COVID restrictions and hosted a virtual parade in the Town Hall. Local artist Jeff Stewart created a six-metre scale set of Vincent St and community groups created miniature floats which were paraded on a Facebook live stream.

But this year, with high vaccination rates decreasing transmission and disease risk, the New Year’s Eve Parade will return to Daylesford!

COVIDSafe restrictions have recently been changed in relation to street parades and the NYE parade organisers have announced that the parade will proceed. However, it will not be possible to hold the street festival in the lead up to the parade.

Restrictions will be in place for participants. All parade marshals and parade participants must be fully vaccinated.

Vaccination will not a requirement for spectators.
