If your community group or organisation has a great idea for a local project, you are encouraged to apply for financial support through a Hepburn Shire Council Community Grant.

Council is offering $65,000 in 2021-2022 to support local community projects for new or one-off events or programs, or a new initiative for an existing event that links to the funding guidelines.

“Council has been able to support some wonderful projects through our Community Grants, so I encourage local groups to put on their thinking caps and apply for funding through the program,” said Mayor, Cr Lesley Hewitt.

“We also invite community groups to apply for a grant to run welcome sessions for new residents,” said Cr Hewitt.

“These sessions have usually been available at the beginning of the year, but we have listened to the community and have now aligned this grant with the financial year.

“Community groups may even choose to deliver the session with another group. These activities are a nice way for new community members to learn about our Shire and all that it has to offer,” she said.

The first round of community grants for 2021-2022 will close on Thursday 29 July 2021. For more information, including grant guidelines, visit the council website at  www.hepburn.vic.gov.au/community-grants-program.
