Undefeated Hepburn Burras seniors moved to the top of the CHFL ladder with a thumping 9,14-124 to 9.6-60 win over Springbank at the Hepburn Football Ground last Saturday. Sam Dunstan again led the way with 8 goals 3. The McKays, Mitch, Brad and Andrew, added two goals each.  The Reserves also had a good win downing Springbank 8.7-55 to 6.6-42. Mak Ganim and Tom Henderson kicked two goals each. Springbank was too strong for the under-18s winning 16.20-116 to 2.2-14 and for the under-15s winning 13.25-103 to 1.0-6.

Daylesford Bulldogs seniors had a very good game against Learmonth but some inaccurate kicking left them 2 points short at 8.13-61 to Learmonth’s 9.9-63. Ben Jones and Sam Winnard kicked two goals each. The Reserves had a good win 11.8-74 to 6.8-44 with Adam Pasahidis leading the way with three goals. The under-18s had a good win kicking 8.7-55 to 4.7-31. Daylesford’s top-of-the ladder under-15s were too strong for Learmonth winning 10.9-69 to 1.1-7 but Learmonth bested the Daylesford under-12s.

League leaders, Hepburn Burras, had a strong win in A Grade netball last weekend defeating Springbank 67-18. The Burras B Grade team won 36-35 in a nail-biter. The C Grade team went down 30-25. The 17 & unders won 32-16, the 15 & unders won 24-11 but the 13 & unders went down 44-3.

Daylesford B Grade netballers were defeated by Learmonth 69-24 and the C Grade team went down 40-16. The 17 & unders drew 16 all, the 15 & unders wend down 23 -7 and the 13 & unders were defeated 22-9.

There will be no football or netball this weekend because of the COVID lockdown. The CHFL has announced that games scheduled for this weekend will be played on June 12 (Queen’s Birthday weekend) which was originally scheduled as a bye for all teams.

The Burra Ball, scheduled for this Saturday evening, May 29, has been postponed.
