Daylesford Bulldogs Seniors have advanced to the Preliminary Final with a close win over cross-town rivals, the Hepburn Burras.
Daylesford held a narrow lead at half time but the third and fourth quarters were lopsided. Hepburn kicked 2.2-14 in the third to lead by 12 but were held scoreless in the last quarter by a resurgent Daylesford who kicked 2.3-15 to lead by 3 at the final siren. Daylesford 5.7-37 to Hepburn 4.10-34.
Chris Molivas and Jordan Schroder both kicked two goals for the Bulldogs. Jason Carrick kicked three for the Burras.
Daylesford will meet Skipton at the Bungaree Recreation Reserve on Sunday starting at 2:35. Gordon will play Bungaree in the other Preliminary Final at Learmonth Reserve on Saturday starting at 2:35.
In A Grade netball, Hepburn will play Beaufort at Learmonth Rec Reserve on Saturday starting at 3:00 pm. Daylesford will play Learmonth on Sunday at Bungaree Rec Reserve starting at 3:00 pm Sunday.
