Once again, DNC is offering a comprehensive School Holiday Program at the Daylesford Arts and Recreation Centre (The ARC).

Indoor Soccer Clinics

DNC has partnered with Lee Stevens and the Daylesford & Hepburn United Soccer Club (DHUSC) to provide indoor soccer clinics.  Lee will coordinate these sessions.  Lee is a retired ex-professional soccer player.  He captained England’s under 18s, played for Southampton Football Club and played at Wembley in 2007 (FA Vase Final).

Lee will be running the Soccer Clinics twice over the school holiday period for up to 15 participants with 1-hour sessions.  So, if you would like to start your journey to strike like a Matilda or play like a Socceroo, be quick to book your place.

This is also a fund-raising event for DHUSC, with proceeds going to the club.  $5 per session.

DNC will be on site surveying the participants’ interest for an ongoing indoor soccer activity.

DNC Joke of the Week

An elderly couple had dinner at another couple’s house and, after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen.

The two elderly gentlemen were talking, and one said: “Last night, we went out to a new restaurant, and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly.”

The other man said: “What was the name of the restaurant?”

The first man thought and thought and finally said: “What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know…the one that is red and has thorns.”

“Do you mean a rose?”

“Yes,” the man said. He then turned toward the kitchen and yelled: “Rose what’s the name of that restaurant we went to last night?”

[If you’ve got a better joke, (and doesn’t everyone??) send it to  admin@dncentre.org.au  and we’ll publish it. (Remember, this is a family publication! ?).  We’ll even include your name if you wish – or you can protect your anonymity!]
