Council is looking for community members to join the Heather Mutimer International Women’s Day Advisory Committee. The aim of the committee is to provide Council with advice on the Heather Mutimer International Women’s Day Honour Roll.
The Honour Roll was launched in 2005 and each year, as part of the week of International Women’s Day – up to five names are added to the Honour Roll. The Honour Roll celebrates and recognises women who have advanced gender equity, exhibit leadership qualities, sharing of individual skills and knowledge, create an environment towards long-term and sustainable change and contribute creative, unique and innovative ideas or initiatives.
Council is now calling on applications from suitably qualified and experienced Community Members to join the Advisory committee. Committee members will advise Council on promotion of the IWD Honour Roll and the event, review Honour Roll guidelines, encourage participation and nomination of eligible women in the Shire, review nominees and develop citations for successful nominees.

Expressions of interest are now open and can be lodged on-line. The closing date for Expressions of Interest is Monday 21 August 2023 at 5.00pm.
