Regional Community Vet Clinic (RCVC) is holding a de-sexing clinic for cats at a pop-up clinic on Sunday, July 30, in Castlemaine.

RCVC is the first not-for-profit veterinary clinic in regional Victoria and is staffed exclusively by volunteers.

De-sexing is offered to anyone who is the recipient of government assistance or holding a valid concession or health care card.

Cats are seasonal breeders and only enter their reproductive cycle in spring as daylight starts to lengthen. With the imminent arrival of spring, and potentially unwanted cat pregnancies, RCVC suggest that now is the time to start thinking about de-sexing your cats.

Where possible, RCVC asks for a small donation of $30 for a male cat or $50 for a female cat to cover their costs.

For more information or to book a place, call 0493 447 394. Spaces are strictly limited.
