Daylesford Riding for Disabled (RDA) is celebrating International Day of People with Disabilities (December 3) and International Volunteers Day (December 5) with these photos showcasing our activities over the past year.

International day of People with Disabilities was started by the United Nations General Assembly in 1992 to promote an understanding of disability issues and to mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well-being of people with disabilities. The theme this year is “innovation helping to fuel an accessible and equitable world”. Sport and recreation is one of the key areas for advancing and celebrating this theme.

Whether it’s in horse selection and training, adaptable equipment development or volunteer training, this is what RDA Daylesford riders and volunteers do: innovate (safely) to help riders enjoy horses and ride to the best of their ability.

We hope you enjoy the photos. For more information email rdadaylesford@gmail.com
