Jan Thomson

Much as I hate to disappoint all you volunteers, we’ll have to once again CANCEL the Whack a weed /Save a tree scheduled for this Sunday 20/11. The past few months have really put a dampener on our working bees at Cornish Hill. It’s a no win situation where we desperately need to weed, brush cut and tend to trees but it’s just too wet to do this effectively at the moment.

The track following Smiths Creek is almost a stream. The “cascades” at the southern end could be newly classified as waterfalls! So much water !

To a small group of dedicated volunteers, I say a BIG thank you for the work done during this year. To those who use and enjoy the Hill I urge you to join our Friends of Cornish Hill to assist in its upkeep. Don’t expect someone else will do it for you.

WEATHER PERMITTING we will gather this Sunday at 11am for a morning tea (provided by FoCH). Park at the end of Stanley St and walk down to the north end picnic table. Please let Jan know if you intend coming.
