Thanks to funding from Telstra’s Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal, Hepburn Shire Council will host free sessions for learning how to make better use of your mobile device, stay safe online and improve your tech knowledge.

Technology is changing so quickly that it’s easy to lose track.

Sessions are free. Just turn up with your devices. These informative and personalised sessions will improve your online skills and confidence. The sessions will be fun and social and are open to all participants, regardless of age, experience or the type of device they are using.

Topics include scam awareness, getting the most out of your phone or tablet, staying safe online, trouble shooting,  and the shutdown of the 3G network.

Sessions begin on Monday 2 September at the following locations:

  • Daylesford Library: Tuesday 10am-12pm
  • Creswick Hub: Monday 10am-12pm
  • The Warehouse Clunes: Monday 2pm-4pm
  • The Mechanics Trentham: Tuesday 2pm-4pm

The Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre frequently offers similar courses – “Computers for the Terrified“. Contact the DNC on 5348 3569 for more information.
