Council will sign the Age-friendly Declaration, at an Expo in Trentham on July 27th. The Declaration is a commitment to build the age-friendly capacity of Hepburn Shire in partnership with the Victorian Government and the Municipal Association of Victoria.
To celebrate the event, the Shire is hosting an Age-friendly Declaration Expo for people over the age of 55. The Expo will be held at the Trentham Pavilion (25 Falls Road, Trentham) from 12 to 3 pm on the July 27. The theme of the Expo is ‘Getting to know each other’.
This event is a way for community groups and service providers to connect with each other and to meet community members over the age of 55!
It is also part of of the Positive Living and Ageing Network annual conference.
What you can expect on the day:
- A commitment from Council to build the age-friendly capacity of Hepburn Shire.
- Presentations, displays and announcements from local organisations and service providers.
- A free lunch.
- Complete a short survey to be in the draw for the chance to win prizes that include:
- First Prize – A scenic flight along the Great Ocean Road via HELICOPTER for 2 people!
- Second Prize – A LLAMA TREK at Hanging Rock, includes morning or afternoon tea!
- Third Prize – A Daylesford PICKNICK BOX!

- Community organisations will have the opportunity to promote themselves via a poster created by Council, which will be displayed at the expo! Community organisations who want to participate can contact The Hepburn Shire by Monday 10 July 2023.
