Melbourne based period instrument ensemble, Genesis Baroque will be joined by soprano Sara Macliver for a celebration of Italian Baroque music at Christchurch Daylesfore on October 22.
Genesis Baroque formed in 2018 and their first album was released through the ABC in 2020. This is their first regional tour after plans to tour in 2021 were delayed by COID restrictions. They are thrilled to be finally bringing this program of Italian Baroque music to Daylesford and other regional towns.
Sara Macliver is one of Australia’s most renowned performers of Baroque repertoire.
The program will be a celebration of the Italian Baroque, featuring works by Vivaldi, Scarlatti, Monteverdi, and Marini. This is rare opportunity to hear Sara Macliver on tour with this critically acclaimed ensemble for their inaugural regional Victorian performances.
The concert will be held on the 22nd of October 2022 at 5pm in Christchurch Aglican, 54 Central Springs Road, Daylesford. Tickets are $30 and available online at www.genesisbaroque.com.au.
